Rafael Gonzalez was created in the 1930's

It was the first Havana brand to create the 6 1/2 inch by 42 ring gauge cigar, known by the factory name Cervantes.

The brand named their Cervantes sized cigar after Lord Lonsdale, the famous English sporting Earl and cigar aficionado of that period. Many other cigar brands also use the name too.

Rafeal Gonzalez cigars contain a light tasting blend of filler and binder leaves from the Vuelta Abajo zone and are made by the "tripa larga, totalmente a mano" -long filler, totally hand made technique.
